Exiled is staying this time

Just want to say thanks I guess, the only reason I started playing gmod again was because BadSanta said you guys brought Exiled back.

This is where I met all my 100+ friends.

My friends and I hope that Exiled servers and the community have a great future for many years to come.

Thanks again for the work you've put in.

I also met a few good friends that I've been in contact with the whole time. Is good to see the return of PERP, I hardly went on Gmod since the servers went down a few years ago.

I doubt it will go down again. You don't see too many major attacks anymore. Either way servers can handle a lot of attacks now and days.

I've made a couple of Danish friends. I'm not sure what to think of myself.
Hate? Fury? Maybe confusing the word "racism" with the phrase "general faggotry?"

If not, I say you are fine. Being friends with a Dane doesn't make you a Dane. Unless it does and no one told me...

Annnnd it's dead.

Is it? I have been on vacation.
Being going downhill. No new players are showing up and the people that have been here since launch are A. Quit already because of lack of content. B. Sitting afk for shops or are just leave their game open 24/7(like me). Or C. Just are dicking around cdming raiding or whatever but not actually farming anymore because there is no point if you have a decent car, nothing to save for.

Gametracker give players online graph look at the 7 day or 30 day one.

Also the admins rather jerk each other off (few expections: x74, nosaj, and bad Santa is alright if phantoms dick isn't around to suck) than monitor the server. The game is going to die in part due to lack of decent admin staff. Before you guys get mad just ask the general population of the server how they think the admins are preforming.

That has always been a key problem of Exiled.

What you said in an earlier comment is also correct. The game mode itself doesn't cater to a long term community. The over-arching goal of the game is to save money and buy a car. Once that has been achieved...?

Granted the game mode is in development, but until more elements are added, (specifically more unique jobs and some sort of inter-organizational conflict system to give players a sense of purpose, because let's face it, orgs are the driving force of the game), there just isn't a whole lot to do.

I told slayy this like 10 months ago while we were in the dev server, he assured me otherwise. He has now retracted his comment lol.

Maybe some kind of territory claim for some kind of gain or advantage could be useful.

I fall prey to the whole not watching the server the whole time, but it sucks because I can't earn money whilst purely monitoring (like on the old server) from unemployment checks. So if I don't do something like a job then when I do want to play the game I have no money to do it with. So don't expect me to catch everything.

I know I'm only an admin because I'm a part of the development team and also previous staff membership on both Exiled and Arean. I'm not by any means good and I'm totally willing to admit I'd be one of the worst on the team. I find it incredibly frustrating at times but I like it. I hold myself to a high standard where I at least try to do things right, and if there's anything you'll never be able to dispute is my loyalty and good intent (as cliche as it may seem) to this community. That may not be what it needs right now in your eyes (but rather just good admins?) but it's something I believe in very strongly and you not only deserve to know about it but ingrain that in your skull if you wish to embed yourself in Exiled. Don't ever hesitate to criticise my abilities but do think about how you portray it. It's the difference between making another Steam friend and an overall better admin or promptly finding another community to reside in.

I trust the staff deeply (and likewise to one another) as I trust the owners even more so. They pick them out, I know they've made the right choice. It's hard to find good people when so much of the GMod community as a whole is simply garbage. We're a circlejerk because when the server can turn against you just like that we need each other to fall back on. It may only be a few players who can cause such a shit storm but it's enough to change minds (the vocal minority huh). This doesn't mean we blindly look at each other as the bastions of the server, so don't get the impression if someone goes rogue we'll still defend them no matter what. As with everything, evidence is key. You show it, we all see it.

That has always been a key problem of Exiled.

You're free to return once it's developed some more.
